L?ensemble du bâtiment du Collège Gentile, tel que nous le voyons aujourd?hui, remonte au XVII° Siècle lorsqu?il fut restructuré par l?architecte romain Giuseppe Antolini (1784), mais son origine est ancore plus ancienne. A cause du tremblement de terre du 27 septembre 1997, les bâtiments furent inutilisables et les activités du Collège s?interrompirent. Dans la même année, les industries de la Merloni s?engagèrent à sa restructuration. Cet intervention fut terminée le 30 octobre 1999 et redonna au collège des espaces confortables pour les clients.
